About Therapeutic Kneads

Sandy Saldano opened this practice in 1997 with her 10 years of experience in the field of massage therapy. Nine of those years were spent working side by side with locally renowned chiropractor Dr. Warren Baskin.

Massage therapy can be an hour's vacation from stress or a little getaway from some of life's challenges. It can be implemented to complement other forms of health care such as physical therapy, chiropractic care, or psychotherapy. Massage can be an important component of your health maintenance and wellness plan.

An eclectic approach is used to achieve the maximum health benefit which is customized to fit your "kneads." For that reason, we offer a number of complementary services (please see navigation menu).

Half-hour to two-hour appointments are available, and we offer packages and gift certificates. Please call for current hours, and to arrange your appointment.

We hope that you find our office warm and inviting, and that we impress you with our professionalism and our willingness to serve you, so that you can enjoy the benefits of regular massage therapy. Because we are a massage clinic and not a day spa, we seek to develop a solid client-practitioner relationship.

• Our State Licensed and Nationally Certified Massage Therapists are members of the American Massage Therapy Association, have received National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience.
• We promise to provide a competent and professional session each time you come for an appointment, addressing your specific needs for that session.
• We will guarantee your appointment time, and will make every effort to reconfirm appointments by phone or e-mail, as you prefer.
• All clients will be treated courteously and with respect. Privacy and confidentiality, personal and professional boundaries are honored at all times.
• We will maintain accurate records of your treatments and review before each session.
• We will perform only those services for which we are qualified, and will refer to the appropriate specialists when work is not within our scope of practice and/or not in your best interest.
• We will use only massage lotions that are hypoallergenic and completely absorbed into the skin, so that you may go from your massage into the rest of your day in complete comfort.
• We will observe the highest standards of hygiene. All of our linens are of hospital quality for sanitation, and a complete fresh set is used for each client.
• We will honor any offer, discount, or coupon precisely as published; in the event of a misprint beyond our control, we will offer a reasonable accommodation at our discretion.
• We will honor all gift cards for one year from the date of purchase; gift cards may be transferred to another recipient. Should the recipient choose not to redeem, we will, upon request, transfer it back to the purchaser, valid for one month from date of transfer.

What we ask of our clients

• Help us preserve our calm, quiet atmosphere by turning off cell phones, pagers and alarms which disturb you and our other clients. Relax, and take a break from being “on call.”
• Payment is made at the time of service, by cash, personal check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express). You may also purchase a pre-paid package.
• We try to accommodate all guests. To cancel without a full service charge, a 24 notice of change or cancellation is required. No allowances can be given for rescheduling within this time.
• Should you be late for an appointment, you will understand that we must still charge full price. If you choose to shorten your appointment length (with less than 24-hours’ notice), we must still charge full price for the original time reserved.
• If you are covered for massage treatment by insurance, please pay us directly, and we will help you fill out your insurance forms for reimbursement. A physician’s prescription for massage therapy, with the diagnosis code and the number of treatments recommended, is needed. If it is a Workman’s Compensation or Personal Injury case, please inform us.
• Please let us know any time your health or physical condition is changed, to enable us to adjust your treatment to your best advantage.
